>Zoboo the Lemur
>

Today, I finished my bead-embroidered lemur, Zoboo. He is named after the lemur on the children's television show, Zoboomafoo. This piece is an artist trading card, which means it measures 2.5" x 3.5" wide. In addition to layering the beads on his eyes, I also layered the beads for his fur about halfway around. His fur is made of tiny fringes that actually move when you touch them. I also stitched the piece of vinyl for his nose so that it really stands out. Then, I beaded his nose using size 15 and size 11 seed beads. To finish the beadwork, I added tiny fringes all the way around. The beadwork is glued onto an acid-free art card, which is signed and dated on the back. Please take the time to view more photos of Zoboo in my Etsy shop.

Also, here was the photo that inspired me to create Zoboo.
The real lemur is cuter, isn't he?
