Today, I went shopping at IKEA. I had to get a new floor light for my apartment. While I was there, I picked up this funky white triangular table. It is actually meant to be used as a laptop computer desk, but I thought it would be perfect for beading. It measures 23.5" wide, and you can adjust its height. I decided to put it near my computer so that I can do beadwork & instant-messaging at the same time. *LOL*
I used to do beadwork at the kitchen table, which was fine until I woke up one day and couldn't find my table....Somehow, my seed beads just took over....Now, I have a small project table that should help to solve that problem.
The light you see in the photo is my old light that broke. It used to be taller, and had a dome on the top that shined up towards the ceiling. But, a fuse blew in the dimmer box, and the top light would no longer work. I deemed it irreparable because the fuse was soldered in and you couldn't replace it. I cut the wire at the box, and removed the entire thing. But, for some strange reason, the gooseneck light still works. So, I'm going to use that while I'm beading.
