Beaded Coon Hound, Norwegian Forest Cat & Valentines Day Sale!
Dear friends, I hope you are doing well and surviving the winter!
I have mostly been hibernating and doing beadwork. Here is one of my latest creations, a beaded Coon Hound brooch! This piece was inspired by the hound dogs that were in the Christmas Story Musical. I had the opportunity to work the shows in December, and I loved watching those dogs run onstage and eat the turkey dinner. During one of the shows, one of the dogs (named Jethro) got chased out of the house (on cue), but decided that he wanted more, so he took the liberty of running right back around the scenery into the house! The joy of live theatre! :)
This piece sold almost immediately in my Etsy shop, but I have listed the design as Made-to-Order for anyone who may be interested. Yes, the dog’s ears actually move when you touch them! Check out the TikTok video HERE.
I have also just listed a new beaded Norwegian Forest Cat brooch! Cats are always a fun challenge for me, and each one is a unique work of art! This piece was made by stitching a combination of Japanese size 15 seed beads and 1x4mm micro bugle beads to felt! Check out the Instagram videos HERE & HERE. This piece is Ready-to-Ship.
