I didn't have a lot of time yesterday, but I did get a chance to do a little beadwork. In addition to beading the 2 side marker lights, I also started working on the undercarriage of my Datsun pick-up truck. Here's where some mixed media comes into play. The axle is made of a combination of beads, washers, and 2 accessory parts for the Dremel tool. I used 2 (#199) Dremel High Speed Cutters - one on each end of the axle. They are a bronze metal color. I stitched those directly onto the felt. Now, I'm working on filling in the space around the axle with 15/0 bronze seed beads. Here's a close-up so you can see:

Today, I have to work 2 jobs, but hopefully I'll be able to finish beading this part tomorrow...
I have more news regarding 'The Divas'. I just got a contract in the mail from Bead&Button Magazine, and they have tentatively scheduled 'The Divas' to be published in the June 2007 issue:)
Also, today is my little sister Julie's birthday. Julie, I hope you have a very special 26th birthday. Eat lots of cake & ice cream.
I miss you & I love you!!
