A fellow beader who frequents a forum that I belong to suggested something very interesting to me today. She said that my technique should be called "Beading Trompe L'oeil"....

I did a little research, and found that Trompe L'oeil is an "art technique involving extremely realistic imagery in order to create the optical illusion that the depicted objects really exist." Another definition that I read said it is "the artistic ability to depict an object so exactly as to make it appear real."
