My real job has been very busy for me the last few days, so I didn't have any time to work on my art. But, later today, I'm going to focus on adding a backing to my blue beaded bus. I want to complete it this week because I'd like to enter it in the final round of the Saatchi Gallery Showdown, just for fun. Which reminds me, last I checked, Engine Co. 6 received over 220 votes in the 11th round! Thank you so much for voting:)

I'd also like to enter my beaded British bus in the Quincy Artsfest Juried Art Exhibition. This year, the Quincy Artsfest is Sept. 14- 16 at the Richard J. Koch Park & Recreation Complex in Quincy, MA. I can enter 3 pieces in the Mixed Media category, so I'll probably enter my beaded fire truck, and my beaded pickup truck, as well. I think it is time for me to emerge from my shell, and show my work locally, if it is accepted. Also, it would be fun to meet some other local artists. And, it would be interesting to see if anyone in the Boston area came to see my work in person...Anyways, the entry deadline is in 2 weeks, so I'd better get to work...
