>The Other Side

Thanks so much for all your comments on my last post! And thanks to both Nauma and Beadin' Gram for mentioning my entry in this week's Saatchi Gallery Showdown! *blush*
I've been busy the last couple of days, but the good thing is, I think I finally finished adding images to the inside of my bus. The first one (from left to right) is Jim Morrison when he was 8 years old. He's the driver of my British bus. The next two images are that of the 1960's rock band, The Doors. The third image is Jim Morrison's silhouette in the doorway. Then, you see Jim and his longtime girlfriend, Pamela Courson. And, finally, at the back of the bus, is Jim's headstone & graffiti as it was in the late 1980's before it was stolen from his grave. Each image was glued onto acid free matte board, painted with acrylics, and glued into place.

When I attached the beadwork to my custom-made shadow box, I couldn't help but to notice a little magic. No, not the make-believe-Harry-Potter-and-the-Deathly-Hallows sort of magic... I'm talking about real magic. When you look through the window of the door of my blue beaded bus, you cannot see what's on the other side...

...but, when you slide it open, you see a rock 'n' roll star:)
