>The Holy Grail

Today, my beaded Banksy pink car is complete. Here's what I've done:

First, I stitched the two main layers of the felt foundation together so the car is one piece. Then, I cut a small strip of felt and stitched it to the undercarriage of the my Triumph GT6. The main purpose of this was to cover up the pink felt layers.

Next, I beaded the wheel wells. This also covers the felt layers.

In the above photo, you'll see that I stuffed some felt scraps under the rear fender of the vehicle. This will give the piece some extra dimension. It also creates the illusion that the beaded body is just as curvy as the original car.
Then, I edged the roof with seed beads.

Here's what the reverse side of my beadwork looks like now...

...and, here's the front side...

Banksy said, "The Holy Grail is to spend less time making the picture than it takes people to look at it." Looks like I'll never be able to achieve that goal... :0
Now, on to the next phase of this piece... :0
