This morning, my alarm woke me up at the crack of dawn. I wanted to get up early because I had to complete some contracts for next year's Bead International 2008 exhibition. I also completed an educational form about myself, which I believe will be used to provide information to the visitors who attend the show.
One of the most difficult things an artist can do is write about themselves. I feel that one must be very in tune with their inspirations and visions to be able to do this, and even still, it is not easy. I thought about the answers to the following questions for quite some time, but it wasn't until my flight back from England when I really began to write them down. Here's a sneak peek:

Then, I went out and bought a large portfolio/ tote. I needed something to carry my unfinished bead embroidery in when I travel. Tomorrow, I'm driving to Erie, PA, to visit family and friends for Thanksgiving, and I'll be there for the rest of the week. I know I'll be busy, but if I have any time to myself, I'll work on finishing my beaded Banksy pink car:)

I'm bringing some felt, thread, scissors, Thread Heaven, beading needles, and more terra cotta beads. I'm going to stitch felt all the way around the unfinished edges of all three pieces of beadwork, and I'll probably add a few more beads around the edges of the brick building... I hope to get this finished during the week, so that I can just stitch the pieces onto my stretched canvas when I return.

Until then, I hope everyone in the States has a Happy Thanksgiving. Eat turkey, drink apple cider, give thanks, and listen to 'Alice's Restaurant':

Enjoy, and I'll see you soon:)
