Today, my bead-embroidered bus tours the outskirts of London, England. But, we had to come to a rather abrupt stop when 4 men decided to cross the street without using the crosswalk. Who do they think they are?? Rock stars?? :0
Of course they are. They are none other than the Beatles. My mother always loved the Beatles, and I think she would've loved to come to Abbey Road with me when I was there in April. While I was there, I noticed that Abbey Road Studios had an aura of mystique to it, at least to me, it did... I mean, it's just a building... but people from all over the world travel there just to walk where the Beatles have walked...
And, speaking of mysteries, I can think of several regarding the future progress of my beadwork. For instance, what shade of blue will I use for the sections in between the windows? What shade will I use for the rest of the front end of the bus, and will they be the same? Will I bead the tires completely, or should I use black vinyl? How will I create a beaded sliding door that actually moves? How will I construct my 3-dimensional vision of the views into the windows when the beadwork is complete, and what will those views be? And, how will the piece be finished? Should it hang on the wall? Or, should it be free-standing?
These are just a few questions that I must start asking myself...
For now, the answers remain a mystery...
