This week, I am beading all kinds of fun things! I had been busy working on my little red beaded VW bug, but then I checked my mail only to receive a package from Artbeads.com! Last week, I had ordered a few Valentine's Day jewelry-making supplies, and I was happy to receive them! Here's are a few of the items I got:

I wanted to make a nice pair of earrings, so I ordered a pair of sterling silver Earwires with 6mm Heart & Rings as well as a pair of red Swarovski heart-shaped beads. I combined these items with a pair of sterling silver dreamcatchers I had in my bead stash to make a simple yet elegant pair of earrings. In Native American culture, a dreamcatcher is used to catch bad dreams while allowing good dreams to pass through the center of the web. But since my earrings are heart-catchers, I think they will help to catch love - perfect for Valentine's Day! :D

I also ordered a couple of sterling silver charms from Artbeads - a Key to Heart charm and a Heart with Keyhole charm. Now, I am thinking my Heart-Catcher earrings would look even better with one of these charms hanging from them! I may have to place another order! Which charm do you think would look best?

For now, I like these earrings just the way they are. The earwires are super comfortable to wear, and they are just the right length! I think these earrings are the perfect gift to myself! ;)
