Well, I think I have everything packed for my trip to Venice, Italy! Beads, thread, scissors, felt, and beading needles! I even packed a few Swarovski Crystal beads that I just got from Artbeads.com! I packed everything into my little pencil box and I am ready to fly! Now, if I ever get tired of sight-seeing, Murano bead-shopping, and eating gelato, I can work on my beaded Abigail Adams project! I think this will be a great piece to work on in Venice, too.. Abby's felt face reminds me of a Venetian mask! We'll see what she looks like when I return!
Before I go, I would like to announce that yesterday, I delivered 7 of my beaded paintings and cars to Bead & Fiber Gallery in Boston, MA for next month's exhibition! They will be installing the exhibit when I am away. The show will not only feature my work, but also beadwork by Christy Puetz! I do hope you'll stop by her website to check out her work. If you're interested in visiting the gallery, I was told that the exhibit dates are Sept 2 - Sept. 26. More details to come!
And, even though I will be away until the end of the month, I have decided to leave my Etsy shop open for business. I have added an announcement that there will be a delay in shipping if anything is sold. I will be able to check emails while I am away, so I think it will be fine. This way, visitors can still browse my items!
