It's just not St. Patty's Day without a parade, especially the parade in South Boston. Except this year, there might be a wee bit of snow on the ground. But, that's ok... A little snow never hurt anything... as long as there's a pub that serves Guinness nearby. And, if the Dropkick Murphys happened to be playing there, that would be even better=:)

But, before I head out to the pub, I want to show you the progress on my beaded '43 Chevy fire truck. I decided that this piece was way too big to use glue on the back, so I stitched on 2 pieces of velcro instead. Then, I glued the other side of the velcro to my cardboard structure. Now, the center is held into place, and if repairs ever needed to be done to the beadwork, the support is removable.

Then, I started to stitch a backing onto the piece. The bottom will done in black Ultrasuede, and the top half will be done in red to match the beads. Hopefully, I'll figure out a presentable way to keep the windows open in the back, as well, because I want to be able to see through them.

This is going to be a slightly slow process...
