I must say that I'm glad that this weekend is over, because I worked the entire time. Not fun, but it will help pay for more seed beads... Since I didn't have a lot of time to work on my beaded bus, I would like to take this opportunity to share an idea with you. Not too long ago, Captain Corky mentioned that he was going to have one of his blogger friends write a guest post on his blog while he is unable to do so. I thought this was brilliant.... While you know that I love blogging, sometimes, I am out of town, I am busy working, or I am just physically too tired to post because I was busy working... This got me thinking - why don't I have a guest blogger sometime when I'm out of town? And, who should it be??
One person came to mind; my friend John. You know John as Rudy's owner, but he is also a writer, musician, and an artist. His oil paintings are bold and vibrant, and many of his pieces are self-portraits. A couple of months ago, he mentioned that I was inspiring him to start his own blog, and at the same time, it is he who is inspiring me to perhaps attempt a beaded self-portrait. John doesn't know this, but he has inspired my work in so many ways, and Rudy's Dream was just the beginning. And, not only has he inspired my beadwork, he has also inspired my posting style. I asked him if he would like to guest post on my blog sometime to try it out... He sounded interested, and said that he would do it, and I think it would be the perfect opportunity for him... So, I ask you, how would you feel if The Lone Beader was no longer alone??
