The first day home from a long vacation is never relaxing. There are so many things to catch up on. For me, this day was quite busy, and in the midst working and running all of my errands, I had time to pick up my mail. I found a couple of nice surprises. The first was a copy of the June 2007 issue of Bead & Button Magazine. One of my bead-embroidered pieces, The Divas, has been published in the Your Work section that begins on page 36. You can read more about The Divas HERE.

My second surprise was the one I had been waiting for. It is an acceptance letter for the Bead Dreams competition. I entered my beaded fire truck, Engine Co. 6, as well as my orange Datsun pickup truck, Waiting for Dad. Both pieces have been juried into the competition into the Nonwearable category, and I am thrilled! That means that on my next day off, I have to send both pieces to Wisconsin so they can be exhibited at this year's Bead & Button show. I hope they make it there safely... Are any of you going to the show??
