Semi-Beaded Semi
I have finally found some time to start working on a larger piece - a beaded semi-truck! This one is inspired by a friend's photo of a Peterbilt truck spotted at work one day.

I enlarged the photo and used it to cut out many layers of felt in several shapes. The felt foundation measures approx. 10" x 10".. I stitched the layers of felt together and began beading an American flag grille using a mix of red, white, & blue seed beads.

Once I finished the flag, I beaded a silver frame around it. I used 11/o Czech glass charlottes, and larger fire-polished beads. It is very sparkly, much like the real truck:)

Now, I am working on the bumper. This area is quite large, so I stitched a variety of metal beads onto the felt. I plan to fill in the spaces with more seed beads. How does it look so far? :D
