Last year, I was in love with polymer clay faces, and purchased as many as I could. I purchased most of my faces from 3 different artists: Linsart, Stacy Taylor, and Carol Strand-Siebers. I took a look at Carol's website, and saw that last year, she hosted her first 'Beaded Face Pin Swap'. It looked like so much fun, that I decided to participate this year. If you're interested in participating, you can read the details of this year's swap on Carol's blog.
So, last night, I took a break from the Divas, and and started planning out my little pin. The face I'm using was created by Stacy Taylor. I love how she blended the colors. I looked at it for a long time, and decided to name her Savita, which means 'the sun' in Hindu. First, I glued the face to a piece of felt with E-6000 glue. Then, I drew my design on with a fabric pen. The face measures approx. 1", and the entire design measures approx. 2" x 2". Next, I went to my bead stash, and picked out some colors. The photo below shows some teals, golds, and a cinnamon. I also chose some natural turquoise, and natural pink coral.
Pins are due by Sept. 29, so I'd better start beading:)
