I guess I wasn't done with the bumper on this Datsun, and I still don't know that I am. Anyways, yesterday, while I was out shopping, I stopped at Micheal's Store. I don't really shop there much, and I certainly don't buy beads there on a regular basis because most of them aren't good quality. But, they actually had what I was looking for, so I picked up a few packages of liquid silver tube beads. Then, I came home and layered them on top of the other beads. I also stitched on 2 layers of size 15 black seed beads for the little bumperettes. What I've noticed now, is that the silver beads lie more naturally if the piece has a slight convex curve. So, I may have to make that happen, somehow....

Next, I cut out a few pieces of black vinyl to use for tires, as well as the space behind the vents underneath the truck.

Then, I stitched them in place.

Here, you can see how the piece looks so far. The tires will be beaded eventually. I know you're wondering when I'm going to add some color. Color will come, in time. I'm working a bit slowly on this piece because there are a few construction/design issues that need to be clearly thought out before I go on to the next step...
