>Nachteule Layers
>

It's been awhile since I've posted the progress of my owl. Last week, I actually had a chance to work on it at my sister's house. And, I continued to work on it this evening.
I've said this before, but this is where it gets difficult to see the layers of beads. A couple of weeks ago, I decided to get a new digital camera with 7.2 megapixels in hopes that it will help to capture some of the dimension of my work.
In the above photo, the left half of the owl's body is layered up to 4 times in some places. There are tiny fringes of different lengths for feathers. I also stitched around the eyes again, and added one more tiny layer of 'feathers'. Can you see the difference between the left side and the right?
In the photo below, you can see the reverse side of the beadwork. Already, there are countless tiny stitches. You can also see how the fabric is puckering in some places. I would like to avoid that, but sometimes it's impossible. I never know how much I'm going to layer the beads...
My goal is to create a texture that the viewer cannot resist touching.
