My First Show @ Sheraton Boston Hotel!
Finally, some great photos of my first show to share with you, courtesy of Dog Breath Photography! These photos were taken on Saturday at Holiday Pet Shoppes 2012 at the Boston Sheraton Hotel.

I only had one table which measured 6' x 30" and since it was a pet related show, I chose to bring only my pet pins, jewelry, and a few small artworks. I also added extra lighting and a mirror for anyone interested in taking a closer look at my beaded doggie pins.

My pins were displayed on felt covered canvases which sat on tabletop easels. I really like how this elevated the display and made it easier for people to check out my beadwork. And, I got some great pendant displays to show their versatility.

I displayed my beaded fire truck on top of a fabric-covered shelf which stood about 1-foot higher than the rest of my items. This really added visual interest to my table.

And, my beaded motorcycle was a big hit with the kids! They couldn't believe it was made out of beads!

Overall, this show was a great experience for me. It was small enough that I wasn't stressed, and the audience was a very focused group, so they were interested in my items. Most attendees stopped by my table. I did sell a couple of pieces, but more importantly, many people asked about custom orders, and took my business card.

The best part was meeting a little girl who was very interested in learning how to make a beaded doggie pin. I hope she will be able to take a class with me someday! As for any future shows, well.. we'll see what happens. It's definitely a risk, and there is a lot of preparation involved, but it is a lot of fun to meet people who might not otherwise learn about my work! :D
