>My Dad's Datsun
>
First, I'd like to thank all of you for reading everyday. This blog has become quite the motivational tool, and I am very grateful for that. Your comments give me the courage to continue with my work, as well as try new mediums. I feel that my art truly has become an adventure, and I'm very happy that I'm able to share my journey with you.
I know that all of you have been wondering what my next piece will be. I always have a few ideas, but I'm never exactly sure what I'll do next...until it happens...

That brings me to the above image. This is a 5.5" x 7.5" wide sketch of the front of a 1978 Datsun King Cab pick-up truck. My father had an orange one when I was 5 years old. I don't think we had this truck very long, but it was long enough that I remember riding in it. Usually, my mom & dad were in the front, and I rode in the back (in the 'extended' cab).
My goal for this piece is to further explore my 3-dimensional style. I have a feeling that this piece will enter the realm of mixed media. In fact, this piece just might surprise you along the way...
