>Music to My Ears
>

For those of you who don't know, I was a musician before I decided to explore the visual arts. I played the viola for 15 years, and I attended Berklee College of Music in Boston. While I was there, I studied Music Production & Engineering, which is basically the art of recording music. I don't usually tell a lot of people that I have a degree from Berklee, because it's sort of a joke that if you want to be successful, you should only go there for a few semesters, then drop out. (Most students who attend Berklee drop out within the first year of enrollment, then go on to become successful musicians. LOL) Anyways, since music is in my blood, I cannot live without it. I also have very diverse taste in music. But, I have two strict rules in my home when it comes to music: no country and no showtunes. Other than that, anything goes:)
I realize that many of you can watch TV while creating, but I cannot. Too distracting. So, I listen to music. Yesterday, I decided to go to the CD store. Here's what I picked up: Breaking Benjamin (Phobia), Black Helicopter (Invisible Jet), and Sleater-Kinney (All Hands On The Bad One & Woods). My friend, Tim, is the lead singer of Black Helicopter. I love their song 'Buick Electra' because it reminds me of my Buick. Definitely check them out... Also, I listened to Sleater-Kinney all last night. Great band. Too bad they are no longer... :( What music do you like to listen to while creating??
While I listened to my new music, I continued to work on the Divas. I added a lot more fringe to Genna (far right), and I worked on Bailey's mohawk (far left). Now that I'm getting closer towards my goal with this piece, I'm wondering how far I really want to go with this....we shall see...
