Beaded Back to the Future Part 3. Paper collage on 16" x 20" painting.

Last night, I did a little painting on my final Back to the Future canvas. Then, I noticed I had kept an old Boston Metro from last week, and I suddenly had an idea of making a newspaper collage version of Twin Pines Mall. Inspired by Eduardo Paolozzi's collages I saw at the National Portrait Gallery in London, I flipped through the paper, and started cutting out some articles. Of course, most of the articles are about Obama's future administration and the current state of the economy - what better way to depict a shopping mall from past? There is also an article which reflects the current state of the U.S. auto industry. I think that should accompany my 3rd beaded DeLorean time machine quite well! :D
