>Marathon Treasury

In Boston, today is Marathon Monday. Today is also a Massachusetts state holiday - Patriots' Day. So, instead of showing you the progress of my beaded White House, I thought I'd do something a little different. This morning, I noticed that Etsy Treasury was about to open up, so I grabbed one! This is the first treasury I have ever curated. It is called 'Dogs Love Wheels', and it features a few talented artists who think like I do! :) Click the pic to check it out. Which piece is your favourite??

Also, thanks to all who have signed up for my mailing list, and entered my first giveaway. I put all the names in a hat, and randomly picked out Linsart as the winner! Check out her fabulous polymer clay face beads and cabachons on Etsy. I actually have quite a few of them in my collection- I might have to start beading around them! :D
And, speaking of Etsy, check out my latest experiment - a funky beaded bead!

CHRYSALIS bead-embroidered bead. 1.25" x 0.5" (3.5cm). Click for more pics.
I have been toying with the idea of making bead-embroidered beads, so thought to give it a shot. This one was made using an improvisational bead embroidery technique. It is made from felt, and can be strung on a 1mm leather cord, or it can be sewn to a work of art. I think I like the concept, so will probably make some more in the future! Each one will truly be one of a kind! That's all for now. Back to beading! :D
