Sometimes I cannot believe how fast time screams by. In just 2 days from now, on April 18th, it will have been one year since I began this blog. It will be my One Year Blogaversary. And, I would never have started it if it weren't for my friend Jimmy. He encouraged me for several months to start a blog, and when I asked him what I should blog about everyday, he said "You don't really have to know at first; it can be a work in progress." (I guess I took that quite literally... *lol*)
When I first began this blog, I had no idea where it would go, but today, it seems that I have developed sort of my own style in how I present my beadwork in progress. I try very hard to make my posts interesting, fun, and educational everyday. I also try to get all of you involved in the development of my pieces by listening to your ideas and asking for feedback. But, I also hope to inspire & encourage you to try something new, whether it is in the visual or literary arts... or it could just be that I opened up your mind to new ways of thinking. Of course, I wouldn't be able to accomplish these goals if it weren't for you. Just knowing that you are interested in my work enough to check in everyday is what motivates me to continue beading & blogging=:)
So, to celebrate the (early) birthday of my blog, I'd like to recall a very important moment in television history. Turn your clock back to August 1, 1981. On this day, MTV (or Music Television) was born, and video killed the radio star...

Some of you already know this, but today, I'm flying to Europe. I'll be visiting London, Paris, and Germany for a few weeks. If you'd like to see some of the places I visit, please check my mobile blog:
Just for fun, I'm going to take some photos with my cell phone and send them directly to the blog. Also, when I'm in Germany during the first week of May, I'll be visiting my friend Nina. You know her as Beadexplorer. I think we will spend some time doing beadwork while I am there, so please check her blogs for updates, as well=:)
Thank you for stopping by. Currently, this weblog is...
