Today, I found an image of a burning building that had been hit in an air raid during the London Blitz in 194o. In the original image, firefighters were outside the building trying to fight the flames, but to me, it looked like there was very little hope for those who may have been inside. I printed out quite a few of these buildings, and cut them to the shape I liked. Then, I created the above collage, although these paper buildings are not glued down just yet.
