>Lighting up a Felt Marquee
>
The past week was super busy for me! Believe it or not, I actually spent 4 long days working my regular job as a stagehand setting up the Radio City Christmas Spectacular here in Boston. All the while, I wished I was at my studio working on my beaded Radio City Music Hall painting!

In the little free time I had, I did manage to stitch a few beads down to my felt marquee. I am working on filling in the red 'lights' behind the beaded Radio City words. I am using only size 15 glass seed beads and hex cuts for this. It's not exactly easy to bead around the words written in cursive writing.. Sometimes, I can only stitch one bead at a time..

Semi-beaded Radio City Music Hall. Bead embroidery on felt.
Beadwork 16" x 2.75". Work in progress
Even though only a small portion of the red is complete, I can tell this piece will be well lit - just like a real New York City street corner! :D
Also, I have just announced a holiday sale on my Facebook page. Limited Time Only! Take 10% off every READY TO SHIP item in my Etsy shop from now thru December 31, 2010. Enter coupon code HOLIDAY10 at time of checkout. Thanks for your interest in my beadwork! :D
