This is one of my favorite quotes by French poet Paul Valéry.

I haven't quite abandoned this piece yet... This morning, I decided to reach for the paints again. I used a deep blue acrylic paint mixed with water and lightly brushed over the entire canvas. I wanted the night sky to look even darker. (Can you see the difference?) Of course, I had already stitched on my owl, so I had to be very careful when painting around the beadwork...

Now, I can continue to work on some leaves.
