>Home for Beading

I know I should be like many other bloggers and post something about Christmas seeing how it's Christmas Eve and everything, but the truth is I'm just not feeling it. Christmas will be just another day to me, probably because I won't be home for the holidays. Of course, neither will many American servicemen & women serving in the Middle East, so my thoughts & prayers are with them this holiday season as I continue working on my beaded M1 Abrams main battle tank.

Semi-beaded M1 Abrams main battle tank. Bead embroidery on f elt.
21" wide x 11" tall (53 x 30cm)
During the past couple of days I did a lot of beading. I completed more freeform peyote stitch on the shadow beneath my beaded military tank. And, I have only broken one beading needle so far! Can you see what I have done? Can you see what I have left to do? How do you think it looks? I plan to take the next few days off of blogging so that I can keep beading...
Also, before I forget, please stop by to enter my final Lark Books giveaway for the year. CLICK HERE for a chance to win a brand new copy of Marcia DeCoster's 'Beaded Opulence'! One winner will be selected on Sunday, December 27!
Until then, Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night.
