Glimpse of a Beader's Work Table
Today, UPS delivered my new digital camera! It's a pink Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W530 with 14.1 megapixels. I got it for free with my Sony Rewards points! I would actually like a much better camera - I'm slowly working my up to one, I guess. The camera I had been using for the past 4 years is another Sony Cyber-shot with only 7.2MP. I'm hoping my new one will help me take slightly better photos for my blog and Etsy shop. Here is the first photo I took:

As you can see, it's my messy kitchen beading table! I'm currently working on my 4th beaded taxi cab which will be part of my Radio City Music Hall bead-painting. This one measures 17" long by 5" tall - just a bit bigger than the last. It is also made from 11 layers of felt - a lot to stitch through! I will take a close-up shot when I get a little more beadwork done... :D
Also, just a quick reminder that tomorrow, Friday, May 20, 2011, is the opening reception for Cambridge Art Association's Northeast Prize Show. This event takes place in both CAA galleries from 5:30pm - 7:30pm in Cambridge, MA - just over the bridge from Boston and a short walk from Harvard Square. If you plan to attend, look for my bead-painting at University Place Gallery! Please CLICK HERE for more details. Hope to see you there! :D
