Here's a quick close-up photo of some of the faces I've stitched onto my beaded wall. When this piece is finally finished, I think the viewer will naturally look at the faces of the prisoners before they even notice the beadwork... or at least, that is my goal. I want people to take a moment to stop and really look at this piece. I want everyone to sense the horror and abuse Jewish prisoners experienced as a result of World War II. Some may not realize it, but even today, genocide continues. This is a violent crime against humanity, and it needs to stop... I hope at least maybe my art will send this message to the world...
