I recently finished beading a project that I started over a year ago - my bead-embroidered flamingo bracelet called “Brazalete CELESTÚN”. This piece was inspired by a visit to Celestún, Mexico. What a beautiful (yet sleepy) beach town with many mangroves, crocodiles, flamingos, and some of the largest seashells I’ve ever seen! This piece was created by stitching tiny 15/o Japanese seed beads to felt 2-3 at a time. Beadwork was layered to add dimension and realism. This item is now available for sale on Etsy.. It’s a one-of-a-kind!
