Today, when I checked my mail, I found a letter from Fire Mountain Gems. They wrote to tell me that The Messenger has been chosen as a finalist in this year's beading contest. I am so thrilled! I entered it under the Home Décor category. Finalists have the opportunity to have their piece published as a back cover ad of a major industry magazine. Now, I have to send them the piece to be photographed.

Last year, I entered Flamingo Moon, which was also chosen as a finalist. My piece is displayed on the Fire Mountain Gems site. I sent it to them last December to be photographed, but it has not been returned to me as of yet...You can view all of the finalists HERE.

I hope that they return my beaded owl much sooner...
