>Exotic Beaded Fringe
>
Last night, I checked my Etsy shop, and realized that my beaded English Bulldog's views had more than doubled in only an hour. I was curious as to why, so I did a little investigating. Turns out he was selected to be in this Treasury which made the front page on Etsy! I was thrilled- I didn't think anyone liked him since he has a frown! :(

After that excitement, I decided to do a little beading. I have been telling Gina from Australia that I was planning to make a small bead-embroidered peacock, since she loves them so much. So, I came up with a design, cut out some felt, and picked out some seed beads!

After 4 hours of beading, here's what my peacock looks like:

It measures about 3.5 inches tall x 2 inches wide. I am using mostly size 15 Japanese seed beads & size 13 Charlottes, but there are also some size 11 Chartreuse beads in there. As you can see, I am beading some fringe for the feathers. The fringe measures about 1/2" long, and it is not a normal fringe. It has two loops on the end. I wanted the fringe to really look like a peacock's feather, and at this small scale, it is not easy to do that! So far, I think I am accomplishing my goal, but this exotic bird needs a lot more feathers! Just wait until I'm finished with him! ;)
Back to beading! :D
