Custom Beaded American Eskimo Angel Pin

Beading has been keeping me busy! Last week, I received a custom order for a very special beaded dog pin - an American Eskimo Angel.

I created this unique Eskie brooch using 11/o and 15/o seed beads, as well as tiny 13/o charlottes in several different whites. I created the dog's head first, then the wings. I stitched both pieces of beadwork together once everything was complete. The most difficult part was stitching the tiny fringe on the dog's mane - I had to use pliers to pull the needle through the beads! I think the results are worth the effort.. It sort of looks like Native American bead embroidery to me. What do you think? I believe the spirit of this beautiful dog will now live on forever:)
