Last night, I began the second layer of beads on my little screech owl. Owls have circles of feathers surrounding each eye, giving them a wide-eyed, alert look. Each of my 'feathers' is actually a tiny fringe that is bead-embroidered in between each 'feather' of the first layer of beads. And, they actually move when you touch them.
It will be tough to depict the 3-dimensional growth of this piece through photographs, but I will try. However, the naked eye can see the difference immediately....
