Can you believe I just woke up a little while ago? I worked a 24-hour day yesterday! I did sleep for about 8 hours when I got home. It's not enough rest to completely recover, but it will do for now...

As you know, I've been asking children to participate in my beaded fire truck project by sending me some photos of their artwork. Here's the first one I received. It is entitled 'Bomberos'. (Bomberos is the Spanish word for firemen.) This piece was created by 4 yr. old Mateo who lives in Argentina. His mother, Rosana, sent me this photo the other day.
I hope Mateo's art inspires your kids to participate, as well. I believe that it is very important to encourage your children's creativity because creating art stimulates their mind. It also helps them to improve their motor skills by using their hands to create something, whether it is art or music. Children also gain a great sense of accomplishment by completing one of their own works. So, if your child has done any drawings, paintings, or sculptures of fire trucks, firemen at work, dalmatians, or anything else fire-related, send me a photo along with the child's first name & age, and I'll post it:)
Today, I'll be busy catching up on some errands, but I hope to get some beading done, as well. Also, I just noticed that Bev tagged me on her latest post, 'Six Weird Things About Me'. That will be tomorrow's post=:)
