>Beading & Bricklaying
>
I'm sure you're wondering whether I've been beading my sinking St. Mark's Square painting or not, and the answer is YES!

Even though I haven't blogged about it in awhile, I have actually made quite a bit of progress on my beaded Campanile. I have beaded much of the eroding parts of the tower using an assortment of gray & clear seed beads. I really like how you can see the dark red felt through the clear beads!

Next, I began stitching on some matte orange cube beads around my larger Czech glass bricks. The colour is a little bright, but I like how it contrasts the grays in the Basilica. Stitching the cubes seems to take awhile because they don't sit so flat on the felt like seed beads do. I must stitch through them a few times to make sure they are secure. I guess right now, it doesn't look like the bricklayer did such a great job, but I'm hoping that in context, everything will look fine when the entire piece is complete. What do you think? ;)
