>Beaded Westie Dog in Progress
>
Yesterday, in the aftermath of Boston's big blizzard, I started beading a new dog pin for my Etsy shop!

Based on a sketch of a West Highland White Terrier (aka. Westie), I cut out a few pieces of felt & stitched them together. Then, using Japanese size 15 seed beads, I stitched on my first layer of beadwork. The grays & black are meant to be shading which will hopefully show through after I add some beaded fringe for hair. I also need to add a tail & maybe a collar! How do you think he looks so far? I think he looks a bit like a polar bear cub! :D

Also, just a few updates since my last post:
Congrats to Krista from the Heirloom Boutique. She won a copy of Creative Paper Jewelry by entering my last book giveaway! Please stay tuned for more giveaways in the future! :D
Just a quick reminder - only a few days left to use the coupon code good for 10% off any ready-to-ship item at The Lone Beader's Gallery Shop on Etsy. Just enter HOLIDAY10 at checkout. This coupoon is valid through December 31, 2010.
And, last but not least, over the Christmas weekend, I sold 2 of my beaded dog pins - my beaded Bedlington Terrier & beaded Pink Miniature Poodle. I have re-listed these items in my shop as Made-to-Order. What kind of dog do you think I should make next? Thanks for your interest in my beadwork!
