Beaded Radio City Music Hall & Taxi Cab Sketch

The other day, I finished beading the 3rd & 4th vertical signs on my felt Radio City Music Hall painting. Using size 11 seed beads in several different blues, I beaded around the gray sign on the right. Then, I beaded the backwards letters on the sign on the right using sparkly silver-lined seed beads. My next task here is to stitch the beadwork to the felt behind it, as well as trim the edges of the felt. I also need to work on making these signs stand out just a bit more. They look too flat to me! :O

After I finished beading, I worked on a sketch of a speeding NYC taxi cab:

It sounds kind of funny, because I don't think taxi cabs are able to go more than 30 miles/hour in Manhattan, and they always seem to be stopped in traffic! Nevertheless, I think I'm going to make a few of these beaded taxi cabs. Maybe a felt collage of them! At the same time I will be thinking of how to complete the building which surrounds the theatre. Back to work!
