Rufous Hummingbird. Glass seed beads, acrylics. 5" x 7".

This morning, I got up early and finished my beaded Rufous Hummingbird relief painting! This piece is another small work, measuring only 5" x 7". The beaded bird is very tiny & measures less than 2"wide. The hummingbird consists of bead embroidery on felt which was stitched to a painted oval canvas. The purple glass flowers & leaves are vintage beads from my collection. They were stitched directly onto the canvas using green nymo thread. You can see a close up of my beadwork HERE.
